3D printing service

Large-scale automotive 3D printing

A high-capacity 3D print farm built for projects beyond desktop-sized parts.

Mouldcraft specialises in automotive 3D printing: large multi-part projects, full-scale components, prototype parts, short production runs and printed masters for mould-making routes.

Multiple components can be produced simultaneously, allowing large projects to move through production efficiently. Design availability, scale and suitability are reviewed before quoting.

Automotive enquiry

Have a car in mind?

With more than 1,100 vehicle designs available, tell us what you're looking for and what you want to make. You can ask about a reference design or send your own model for review.

Vehicle designs are treated as reference material for quotation discussions and may be subject to IP, licensing, suitability and project constraints.

This remains a quotation service. Use the form to outline the project, then email any model files, reference images or supporting documents so we can review suitability before quoting.

If relevant.

Overall size or key dimensions if known.

Attach your photos or drawings in your email app after opening the enquiry.

STL, OBJ, STEP/STP, 3MF, ZIP and JPG/PNG references. Email files after submitting.

Process timeline

Four controlled steps, one quoted route.

1

Send the brief

Upload a model, send reference photos, or describe the part. We check the intent before committing you to a route.

2

Prepare the file

Model creation, mesh repair, scaling, orientation and printability checks are handled before production starts.

3

Choose the material

We match the print process to the use case: display, fit check, outdoor function, heat exposure or mould pattern.

4

Print and finish

The part is produced, checked and supplied with sensible next-step advice if it needs paint, assembly or mould work.

Material cards

Materials matched to the job.

Not sure which one you need? Leave it on the enquiry form and Mouldcraft will recommend a practical route.

PLA

Concept models

Crisp detail and efficient production for prototypes, props and visual checks.

PETG

Functional parts

Tougher and more weather-resistant than PLA for useful workshop components.

ABS

Heat-aware work

Impact resistance and higher temperature tolerance for demanding parts.

Resin SLA

Fine detail

Smooth finish for presentation models, small masters and detailed patterns.

Hybrid route

Large parts

Segmented prints, assembly planning and finishing for bigger components.

Common questions

What file formats do you accept?

STL, OBJ, STEP/STP, 3MF and ZIP cover most cases. Don't have a file? Send a photo or describe your idea and we'll help create one.

I only have a photo, not a 3D file - can you still help?

Yes - that's exactly what the image-to-3D step of this service is for. Send your photo, ideally from a few angles, and tell us what you need made.

What material should I use?

It depends on the part and what it's for. Pick Not sure on the enquiry form and tell us more in the message - we'll recommend one.

Can you print large or automotive-scale parts?

Yes, where suitable. Tell us the size, intended use and whether it is a full body or individual component, and we'll confirm whether it is a fit.

How much does it cost / how long does it take?

This depends entirely on the size and complexity of the part. Send your details through and we'll come back with a quote.
