Information
Using our mouldcraft casting combination kits you can cast many and various original parts including small sculptures, figures, scenario models or even engineering components
You will be able to create just about anything required in the moulding making industry, engineers can use the process as part of their rapid prototyping work whilst artists can easily make copies of their original work as samples or demonstration pieces.
With the original part removed from the silicone the mould can then be used to create accurate and detailed reproductions of the original part by pouring mixed casting resin ( Mouldcraft A2000L) into the mould. Mouldcraft A2000L included in the kit is a very easy to use Fast Cast polyurethane resin which will flow easily into the fine surface details of the silicone mould and then cure quickly (within an hour) to a strong plastic copy of the original part. ( colour polyurethane pigments can be bought to colour this resin from our ebay shop)
Mouldcraft GP 325 high strength silicone mould making rubber has been formulated for easy mixing by hand, with colour coded components, giving a visual aid to ensure mixing is adequate. The two components mix easily and because of the low viscosity most grades can be used without processing in a vacuum chamber. This silicone is suited for the detailed reproduction of figures, art objects and similar items.
Applications include : Patterns, Negatives, Castings, Models, Vacuum forming tools, prototypes etc.
