Carbon Fibre Kit for 3D Printed Moulds

So you’ve made a 3d printed mould and now you want to make it in Carbon fibre well this is the kit for you!

This kit includes our quality 200g twill or plain weave 3k carbon fibre fabric, our CRL Epoxy laminating resin, abrasives, compound, and ancillaries all you need to create carbon fibre parts with strength and looking great cosmetically.

How to!

Once you have made your 3D printed mould, we recommend using PETG filament

Coat the mould with our PVA release agent. You can use a sponge, brush or for best results use a air gun the more layers the better once you have a even film over the mould surface.

The part can then be laminated with the carbon fibre and our CRL epoxy resin, also add the peel-ply which can be laid onto the back of the laminate to provide a neater finish.

After curing the part can be demoulded and trimmed and at this stage it will have visible layer lines from the 3D printed mould, for purely mechanical applications this may be perfectly acceptable, but the kit does include enough resin, abrasives, and polishes required to finish the part to a high cosmetic standard.

Standard kit includes:
300mm x 1m Twill or plain 3k Carbon Fibre Cloth
700g CRL epoxy and Hardener
30ml PVA mould release agent
400 x1m of Peel Ply
2 pairs latex gloves, 4 mixing cups, 4 mixing sticks
4 x 1″ laminating brushes
sheet of 120, 240, 400, 800 and 1200grit Wet and Dry Abrasive Paper
50g P200 Polishing compound.

Medium kit includes:
500mm x 1m Twill or plain 3k Carbon Fibre Cloth
1kg CRL epoxy and Hardener
60ml PVA mould release agent
700 x1m of Peel Ply
4 pairs latex gloves, 4 mixing cups, 4 mixing sticks
4 x 1″ laminating brushes
sheet of 120, 240, 400, 800 and 1200grit Wet and Dry Abrasive Paper
50g P200 Polishing compound.

Large kit includes:
1m x 1m Twill or plain 3k Carbon Fibre Cloth
1.5kg CRL epoxy and Hardener
100ml PVA mould release agent
1mx1m of Peel Ply
4 pairs latex gloves, 4 mixing cups, 4 mixing sticks
4 x 2″ laminating brushes
sheet of 120, 240, 400, 800 and 1200grit Wet and Dry Abrasive Paper
100g P200 Polishing compound
