Why does temperature affect catalyst dosage?
Catalyst (MEKP) triggers the cure reaction, which speeds up in warm conditions and slows down in cold ones. Using more catalyst in cold conditions and less in warm conditions keeps cure time in a workable range.
What happens if I use too little or too much catalyst?
Too little and the resin may stay soft, tacky or never fully cure. Too much can cause excessive heat (exotherm), cracking, or a brittle finish. Always stay within the product's recommended range.
